Job description
This Program Specialist provides technical assistance to child care providers applying for State and Federally funded stipend programs.
Requirements:
Two years successful experience in Child Development programs, project development
Use of computer programs: Windows and Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail and the Internet
Experience with data entry
Meet travel requirements of the position
Ability to read, writer, and speak Spanish fluently preferred
Work conditions:
Main workplace is office located in Moreno Valley, California
Enrollment meetings for participants are located throughout the County of Riverside.
Responsibilities:
The Program Specialist for this program performs a wide variety of program management activities. He/She processes and screens applications to determine eligibility and qualifications for stipend program including verification of employment, college transcripts, and workshop hours. He/She creates letters, fliers, and postcards to mail merge with data from customized database to aid program operation. The Program Specialist for this program provides reports requested by the Program Coordinator. Other tasks include proofreading of documents, coordinating printing orders, creating sign-in sheets, the preparation of packets for meetings, and verification of check processing against reports for accuracy.
