Job Description:

We are seeking a nurturing and dependable full-time Infant/Toddler Teacher to care for children ages 6 weeks through 24 months.

Our ideal teacher is patient, attentive, and genuinely passionate about working with infants and toddlers. This person understands that every child develops at their own pace and deserves individualized attention, responsive care, and a classroom where they feel safe, loved, supported, and known.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing attentive and responsive care throughout the day
• Preparing and giving bottles and meals according to each child’s individual schedule
• Completing diaper changes and supporting children’s hygiene needs
• Following safe-sleep practices and individual infant needs-and-services plans
• Comforting children and building secure, trusting relationships
• Planning play-based activities that encourage sensory exploration, movement, communication, creativity, and early learning
• Observing and documenting children’s development, interests, routines, and milestones
• Completing accurate daily reports for bottles, meals, diapers, naps, activities, and important observations
• Communicating warmly and professionally with families
• Maintaining active supervision and following all licensing and safety requirements
• Keeping the classroom, toys, equipment, and diapering areas clean, organized, and sanitized
• Working cooperatively with co-teachers and administration

Applicants should have:

• At least 12 completed semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, including at least 3 units specifically related to infant and toddler care
• At least 6 months of experience in a licensed infant center or comparable group childcare setting
• Transcripts verifying completed ECE/CD coursework
• Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification
• The ability to meet all California Community Care Licensing requirements, including background clearances, health screening, TB clearance, immunizations, and mandated-reporter training
• Reliable full-time availability Monday through Friday
• Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom-organization skills
• The ability to perform routine infant and toddler care safely, including lifting and carrying children and working at floor level, with or without reasonable accommodation

Bilingual English/Spanish skills and a California Child Development Permit are welcomed but not required.

Compensation is $19–$22 per hour, based on education, qualifications, and experience.
